Does Blue View Offer Small-Group Scuba Diving?
Yes! Small-group diving in Phi Phi is one of our main priorities.
For Discover Scuba Diving, we normally maintain a maximum ratio of 2 beginners per instructor. Meanwhile, certified divers and PADI course students generally dive in groups of up to 4 per instructor or guide.
We also try to group certified divers with others of similar experience. This creates a more relaxed and enjoyable underwater experience.
Private instructors and dive guides are available for guests who prefer individual attention.
What Dive Boats Does Blue View Divers Use?
Blue View Divers operates both a traditional Thai dive longtail and a larger, comfortable dive boat.
Our main boat, Dory, accommodates up to 24 divers. She features shaded seating, dry storage and essential safety equipment. However, we still maintain small guided groups underwater.
For a more traditional experience, Georgie is our custom-built dive longtail. With space for up to 8 divers, she offers an intimate way to explore Phi Phi’s reefs.
Our experienced local captains know the surrounding islands and dive sites extremely well.
What Scuba Diving Equipment Does Blue View Divers Provide?
Our PADI Dive Centre in Phi Phi provides quality rental equipment for beginners, students and certified divers.
We use Aqualung Wave BCDs, known for their durable design and comfortable fit. Our Aqualung Calypso regulators are regularly inspected and serviced in-house.
Certified divers and students can enjoy Aqualung open-heel fins with neoprene boots. These offer a comfortable fit and make walking in dive equipment easier.
For Discover Scuba Diving beginners, we provide lightweight Scubapro GO fins. They’re comfortable, easy to use and ideal for first-time divers.
Our wetsuits include 3mm shorties, with rash guards available on request. We also offer a range of masks, including optical prescription masks for rent.
Above all, our team helps every diver find equipment that fits correctly before entering the water.
How Does Blue View Support Marine Conservation in Phi Phi?
Marine conservation has been part of Blue View Divers since we opened in 2006.
Over the years, we’ve supported beach cleanups, coral rehabilitation, environmental education and local conservation projects.
Our team has also contributed to the Phi Phi Dive Committee and marine protection initiatives around Maya Bay.
Today, we continue this work through responsible diving, Green Fins practices and PADI AWARE Conservation Courses.
These include Shark & Ray Conservation, Coral Reef Conservation and Dive Against Debris.
We also encourage guests to explore our Citizen Science Projects and learn how their observations can contribute to marine research.
